- Sub: ViewEdit&Mr.BusError bombs
-
- Dear colleagues,
-
- I found problems using ViewEdit 1.0 (3/27/90) and "INIT Mr. Bus Error" (from
- the "discy business" developer CD. It bombs with bus error:
- _EqualRgn +0018 CMPM.L (A0)+,(A1)+
- (A0) is at this moment 0.
- But I don´t understand why this happens. The Mr.BusError documentation says it
- forces a bus error if somebody writtes to loc 0. Does a compare statement
- write? (You see I hate assembler…)
-
- To produce this, you should have Mr.BusError installed and then do following:
- • start ViewEdit
- • create a resource
- • select the creation tool and draw a view
- • again select the creation tool and draw a sedond view
- • select the first view and delete it
- • select the second view and delete it
- and then you will see MacsBug.
-
- Conf.: IIci, Sys6.0.5,
-
- I removed "INIT Mr. Bus Error" now.
- Maybe this information helps somebody.
-
- sincerly,
- Tommi GESSL
